The Hague already contains five swimming pools, but there is still a shortage of indoor swimming areas. The new Hofbad in Ypenburg fills that void in a smart and sustainable way. For example, the buffer tanks capture the heat generated by a solar collector and the air handling units ensure less pollution.

But a sustainable solution has also been found for the lighting. liniLED ^® LED strips are used to illuminate the various pool areas. In the leisure pool liniLED ^® Top Deco in the colour red has been processed and in the other pools a warm white variant has been chosen. The entrance is also stylishly accentuated with liniLED ^® and emphasizes the architecturally designed elements of the swimming pool.
